Last night I was delighted that my painting ‘Spanish Garden’ won third place in the CCA Galleries Emerging Artist Award 2026.

Out of 450 applicants I reached the top three.

Not only was this my first major cash prize but also to be recognised by such prestigious judges Rachel Howard and Bruce McLean means so much.


The exhibition runs at CCA gallery, The Long Barn, Tilbury until 29 May. It’s a beautiful exhibition with some really talented fellow artists so don’t miss it!


In the meantime my Brighton Artist House preparations are in full mode. I’m framing and hanging and turning the Regency space into a gallery once again - Wilkinson Contemporary.
