My Artist Open House exhibition is coming up!

Hello. I'm really looking forward to opening up my Regency home beside the sea as part of the Brighton Artists Open House festival this summer.

My artist Open House - Clara Wilkinson - will be opening for two weekends on 2nd - 3rd May and 10th - 12th May 2024. Find me at number 18 on the Hove Arts Trail.

This new show is called ' Inner light shine bright season' and the title is inspired by a track from Chicago house producer Anthony Nicholson.

I'll be exhibiting new oil paintings, delicate watercolours and a range of Giclee prints and cards taken from original work and inspired by the landscapes of the South Downs, Somerset and Andalucia.

Come to the seaside! There's so much to do and some wonderful art on our trail.

The route takes you through the heart of historic Regency Hove and into some fascinating little corners - mews buildings with exhibitors such as the photographer Jim Naughten's studio on Queen's Place or Cameron Contemporary on 2nd Avenue.

After visiting me you could get coffee from Down to Earth Coffee at Palmeria square and sit in our beautiful Adelaide Crescent just outside. If it's hot you could get an ice cream at Marrocco's on the sea front and sit on the beach.

From there it's easy to pick up the route again for more art.

Meanwhile, do look out for our local small businesses that need our support. Just a few of my nearby favourites are the beautifully designed Capsule Records in Brunswick Town if you need fabulous coffee and a vinyl stock up. Or Salvage cafe just opposite on Western Road for a slap up brunch. For a pint it's The Better Half pub or for freshly squeezed juices and healthy lunches visit the tucked away but beautiful You Juice on Brunswick Road West.

Look foward to seeing you soon,

Clara x
